Has anybody else made the ReSoleable socks? I love them! I am now planning on incorporating this technique into socks whenever I can. I have had too many pairs of socks ruined by holes. Yes, I try to darn them but the fabric just gets thinner and weaker so new holes form. Replacing the whole sole seems like a much better idea to me. I have made two pairs so far and have also taken a pair of my favorite knee-high socks which have horrible holes in them, cutt off the feet, picked up the live stitches and am in the process of knitting new feet using this technique. Now the next time they wear out it will be much easier to fix them (and not as scary as cutting the feet off!!).
