Ute socks

I've just finished a pair of Ute socks:

I knit these in the suggested yarn, Brown Sheep Nature Spun Sport. Unfortunately, one of the original colors (grape) has been discontinued, so I substituted what looked like a close enough match (plumberry). The new color is a little too dark, I think; nevertheless, I am quite pleased with the finished sock. It's a great pattern, and the most difficult part was trying them on for fit or for photos: it's been very hot and humid here in Philadelphia, so it's not exactly double-thickness sock weather!

Beautiful! I like what you did with the colors of the heels and toes. Nice touch!

Nicely done! You have done what the book did not: inspired me to knit "Ute Socks". Thank you.
