My first pair of socks from the new book, Favorite Socks are the the "Uptown Boot Socks". The yarn is Lisa Souza Sage Sock! Merino knit with size US 1/2.50mm Knitpicks circulars. The pattern was a slow knit because of all the cabling but I like the finished product very much. They will be nice and warm next Winter.

They look beautiful! I hear you about the cabling making a sock knit up slower, but it's worth it eventually :)
