merino lace heel
Last fall I made a pair of Merino Lace Socks. LOVE them. I have also made a pair for my oldest daughter. This weekend I had to darn the heels. They have been worn for a only a few months but the heels are wearing through the lace pattern. If you are a clog wearer, no problem, if not, watch out. I love the pattern, and will make the sock again. Next time I will go with a more traditional heel.

I've started this pattern for a pair for my sister. I had already decided to knit my usual heel instead of the lace heel and now I'm glad of that decision. I want her to be able to wear them for many years to come.
