I finally got my book!! Can I just say that I will be knitting from it for some time to come. I don't think there's a sock in the book that I don't plan to make.
First up was to make hubby some Retro Rib socks. I decided to do these toe up instead of cuff down (using a nifty garter stitch short row toe/heel I recently learned). Hubby likes his socks long and I don't want to run out of yarn, so toe up was the way to go. These will be his frivolous dressy "better take care of them or else" socks. I am using Cider Moon Haiku (50% silk/50% wool).
The tiny bit I got knitted this weekend met with his approval.

I really like the retro rib socks. I also like your toe modifications.
Very pretty! I just got my first Cider Moon yarn in the mail today. Yum!
I've been thinking of trying a toe like that ;)
Oh very cool. Maybe I can convince my Hubby to like this pattern!
